Time: 9.00am - 4.00pm
Location: Cintra Park Tennis Centre, Gipps Street, Concord.
Cost: $100.00
The TCA Assistant Coach Course has been designed as the first real stepping stone to a career as a tennis coach. The Assistant Coach is not a qualification, however it will prepare the candidate for the Development Course, the first level of your TCA qualification. Candidates will find the course significantly more challenging than the OTC Course.
The course has been designed for the young coach who assists at a tennis centre with beginner group lessons. It is anticipated that the course, along with the professional development offered by the Master Coach, will prepare the coach with knowledge of the game, basic stroke analysis and correction, lesson organisation, and relevant drills and games, both with a Games Based Approach (GBA), and a Skills Based Approach (SBA).
There are some pre-requisites that must be completed prior to entry into this course, as well as some advantages if the coach choses to continue their education in the Development Course.
