2009  ‘Omnicourt’ Metropolitan Hardcourt Championships>>

The 2009 Metropolitan Hardcourt Championships will be conducted by the NSW Hardcourt Tennis Association in July.

The tournament, which is the largest in NSW, will be conducted in two sections.   Open and Special events for men and women will be played from 6pm Friday 17 July, continuing on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July.   The finals will be scheduled for Saturday 25 July.   The winners and runners-up in Open and Special events will receive prize money totalling in excess of $7,000.    Play in the Open and Special events will be held at the Parramatta City Tennis courts at North Parramatta.

The junior section of the tournament will start on Monday 20 July with the 18, 16 and 14s events being conducted at Parramatta and the 12s and 18s at Cintra Park, Concord.   The 10 and under events will commence on Thursday 23 July at Caterson Tennis Centre, Castle Hill.

Entries for the tournament will be accepted up to Friday 26 June.

Coach Screening>>

It is an essential pre-requisite for all premium, standard and trainee Tennis Australia coach members to have completed the screening process prior to renewing membership for the 2009-2010 year.

Implementing the screening policy strengthens and protects the sport of Tennis and all involved. Introduction of this compulsory requirement will ensure that tennis players of all ages will be able to participate in a child-safe and child-friendly environment.
